Summary: The play "Mister Paradise And Other Rare Electrical Things Between People" is spoken highly of for its representation by the Luxembourg actors. Under the direction of Anne Simon, the Théâtre National du Luxembourg produces a show on the various forms of life such as Missouri, New Orleans’ French Quarter, a hospital presumably somewhere in the South, upper crust New York, and a nameless dystopian city. Not much of the play represents the culture of Luxembourg itself besides its wonderful playwrite and the creators of the show.
Thoughts/Emotion/Observations: I believe that this play poorly represents the culture of Luxembourg. Not much is being done anymore to represent their culture. This fact is so true, as represented by this production, since this play doesn't even portray a single Luxembourger or any cultural aspect of Luxembourg culture besides the playwrite herself. Though Luxembourg follows many hierarchical trends, they should do more to preserve their culture.
Cultural Ties: This article hardly ties to their culture. When researching their culture, it is hard to find anything that directly connects to their culture since their traditions are being broken and following the popularity of globalization. Hopefully, Luxembourg will demonstrate more cultural aspects in future plays to bring back and diffuse their culture.
